Its finally here, Pure who produce some fantastic Dairy Free Spreads as an alternative to margarine have now come up with a dairy free cheese spread and guess what, it tastes really nice.
By chance I managed to spot it in the cheese fridge at Tesco and I bought it with some crackers to try it out and even my dairy eating friends said how nice it tasted.
Pure dairy free soft cheese ingredients:
Water, vegetable oil, dried glucose syrup, soya protein, sugar, emulsifying salt(trisodium citrate). calcium phospate, inulin, salt, stabilisers(locust bean gum, guar gum, carageenan), vegetable mono – and diglycerides, preservative(potassium sorbate), natural flavouring.
Oh yes I can definitely feel some experimenting coming along with the dairy free cheese spread maybe even a dairy free Tiramisu coming along in the pipelines, make sure you keep a look out for these.

January 20, 2010 at 1:31 pmThis is interesting! Does it really taste good? My 4 year old has never had cheese (dairy, egg, nut allergies), I wonder what she’ll make of it. Will try and track it down. Thanks for the tip.
