It’s great to have another hot drink alternative and Sugar Free Hot Cocoa always feels like a treat. It takes a bit of getting used to if you are just starting to cut sugar from your diet but if you like high percentage dark chocolate you will love this. Depending on your intolerance’s or dietary requirements you can use any milk e.g soya, rice, oat, goats. I normally do a combination of a 1/3 Vanilla Rice Milk and Soya (sugar free of course) for my Sugar Free Hot Cocoa.
Sugar Free Hot Cocoa Ingredients:
Cocoa (100%), milk of choice, pinch of cinnamon (optional).
- The most important step with making Sugar Free Hot Cocoa is the initial mix. Put two teaspoons of cocoa in a mug, with the cinnamon. Then add a small amount of milk to make a paste and stir this so there are no lumps (this ensures that the mixture combines).
- Add the remaining milk and stir. Heat mixture in a pan or microwave for a few minutes until hot.
