Tucked away in the back of my fridge I have had a little packet of oatly cream waiting to be tried. Being a new treat it needed to be a special reason to open it. Last night was the night!
Feeling inspired last night I made a chocolate Agar Mousse using the oatly cream to give the mousse an extra special taste and texture.
So what is oatly cream and how does it taste?
Oatly cream is a healthy and non dairy cream alternative. It can be used just like ordinary cream for cooking, eating or toppings on desserts! Oatly cream contains only vegetable products – no milk or soya, and has just 13% fat.
Oatly cream ingredients: Oat base (water, oats 9%), rapeseed oil, palm oil, emulsifier (E472e), stabiliser: xanthan, salt.

Oatly cream has a great texture, it’s fairly thick maybe more like a yoghurt than a cream, however it does taste creamy although not with the more sickly taste I associate with cream. My initial results from using it in cooking were great, so I will be trying it again, oatly cream most definitely rocks!
